I'm not sure what specific type it was either, I will have to check into it. The pro at Scheels here told me that some farmers were trying it. Do you use any mineral supplements at all along with your food plots? If so, what do you use?
The farmer is going to plant some corn this year and leave it back around one of our stands. He said he would let me plant some stuff if I wanted, but maybe it would just be easier and just as good if he planted it all as corn. I agree about letting them grow old. In my part of the state it is...
I am going to plant a food plot this year. I live in SE South Dakota where soy beans, corn, and alfalfa is everywhere. What would be the best thing to plant since there is so much of these crops around? I want to see if I can help increase some antler mass and body size. Any similar success...
AMEN! There are farmers in my area that can't even keep up with what people are paying for land for investments. Some land around here just sold for over $2000 an acre! A young farmer that I know said if is to make ANY profit off the land, about $1300 an acre is all he could spend. That is...
The bottom line is there may be federal land for sale and regardless of what PARTY you are in favor of (because this has obviously turned into a political debate), no respectible hunter Rebublican or Democrat who is an outdoor lover etc. should be in favor of this. Why would you? Thousands of...
What are people's thoughts on Bush selling off Ferderal land? From what I have been told by my buddy, it is a go and it is For Sale. We can waste billions a week in Iraq and he is going to sell of precious Federal land to try to make up for the deficit. And what, pay for a month or two over...
What are your experiences with digital cams in the cold weather? Any tricks to get them to perform good in the cold temps? Is it worth having them out?
Nice pics! How long have you had your Moultrie? I am thinking about purchasing one. What is your opinion on them? From the way it sounds, triggering doesn't seem to be a problem for you!
So have you tried it on deer trails etc.? Sounds like you wouldn't recommend getting one. Any opinions on the best inexpensive digital camera on the market?
Do you know the trigger speed of the Stealth Cams? If it is better than those I'm not worried. Usually I have it angled on a good trail or over a scrape anyway.
Are you familiar with the 35mm Stealth Cams? I use those and are happy with the way they work. I get a lot of neat pics and am happy with the quality of pics they take etc. So I assume I would be happy with a digital. How would you compare the two?
I'm just wondering what hunters think about the cheapest Moultrie digital game camera. Any complaints? I am using Stealth Cams right now and am happy with them, but having digital cams just makes more sense.
The Stealth Cams may be a little more expensive to keep up(film, batteries etc), but I have had nothing but great success with them. I would rather have a camera that took pictures, than one that doesn't take them at all. I rarely have a pic of half a deer etc. and when I do big deal, it is...
