    Homebrews

Re: Homebrews - anyone building? I do not recess mine, just glue it to the backside. to remove excess goop I usually just take a scalpel and cut around the outer edge of the glass, that cuts the excess goop away form the goop that is holding the glass in place. It is also best to put some goop...

    New trail cam pics.

Homebrews are awesome, I am sure some of the other homebrewers on here can attest to that! And to think this is only a 3.2 MP camera!

    New trail cam pics.

nanny, we are using Sony P32s with snapshot sniper boards. Awesome units, no complaints at all! Although I am selling those and updating to L14s which I think will perform just as well but have better picture quality and battery life.

Camera choice for homebrew, new models?

Yeah the P32 and P41 are good for fast and IR cams. Also hear good things about the Samsung A503 for an IR cam. The pictures are by far the same if not better quality than the P41 and the hack is supposed to be super easy. I would like to maybe try one sometime, but I have enough for now.

Camera choice for homebrew, new models?

vman I have never used an S600 but I do not think it takes long for the flash to recharge, less than ten seconds later it is ready to take another picture.

Camera choice for homebrew, new models?

THe Nikon flash is just equivalent to the P32; good flash but can not beat the S600. The hack is very easy, just a matter of taking up the piece of tape over the power button, scraping a small part of the tan colored material that covers the metal (I have no idea what it is called) then that...

Camera choice for homebrew, new models?

The zoom lens may be just another thing that would happen to break but it does not slow the camera down. I am getting about 2-2.5 second trigger speeds and with a HPWA lens it is perfect. Also the snorkel is not to hard to do, just drill a 1.5 inch hole and it has a lip on the back edge so it...
