    Stolen Mount

Don't know by what authority they put that kind of value on it but I'm sure it was priceless to the guy who it belonged to.

    Stolen Mount

Anyone see on KWWL tonight that another mount was stolen from some business in Waterloo? I didn't catch all the details but the pic they showed was a hog of NT. Feel bad for the guy. They said it was the only thing taken??? I hope this doesn't start happening again all over!

    200 "+ Club for gals?

Some of these remarks are a hoot (I was thinking all of them as I typed this.) but seriously, does anyone know of or know how I can find out how many other ladies have killed 200+" deer in Iowa. Saskguy, I'd love to see pics of the one you mentioned if you ever can post any!

    200 "+ Club for gals?

Had a monster rack brought over to the house tonight that I'm going to be bringing to the classic for a local girl who won't be able to make it down until Sunday. I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how many other girls are in the 200" + club with verifiable Iowa kills. Doesn't matter to...

Packing in Dbl. Bull, decoys, bow etc.

I use a "BlacksCreek" Mathews pack (3:16 ?) and have the accesory "Double Bull Bucket" on it. I can put everything I need in the pack, the cloth bucket connects to the bottom of it and holds the blind along with a DB stool tucked inside the blind bag and my bow can be strapped to the outside of...

    Iowa Deer Classic seminar schedule?

I spoke with the CEO of the show yesterday and he informed me that Michael Waddell will NOT be at the show this year and the "headliner" is Byron Ferguson, the archery trick shot artist (he's been there every year), he also metioned Rod White's name as a seminar speaker and some predator calling...

    Hideaway Deer Classic

Loren and I and the rest of the gang had a great time today. Some really nice bucks were brought in. Noteably, the 196 3/8 bowkilled non-typical that I mentioned earlier and a surpising entry by a lady muzzleloader hunter who killed a giant that grossed 189" typical. I can't imagine anything...

    Hideaway Deer Classic

Thanks IADEERHUNTER, you're right, Bruce is a great guy and I can't say enough about his ribeye's. This thing was something I approached him about a few years back with the hope that locally if we could start showing guys what REALLY nice deer look like they might let up on shooting every...

    Sad sad day

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I lost my father when I was 18 (I'm now 41). He introduced me to hunting but I never got the chance to experience much with him but my passion has only intensified. I'm sure he is very proud of that as your father always will be for you as well. Never...

    Larry Huffman passes away

I too just got a call about Larry's passing. Sad news. My thoughts are with his son Greg and their family. Larry was a great guy who made everyone one of us who work at the Classic feel like a family. His show is monument to his love and respect of the whitetail deer!
