As long as you don't plan on shooting any deer with the gun, you'll be ok! You will have to wait another week for that. Other than that, you have more than enough for a first hunt. Good luck!

Muddy I think you are being a little optimistic. In 2009 that deer will obviously be around 183 3/8 gross. With a 4 1/4" drop tine.

I have to say, that seems extremely ironic.

Two years ago during 1st season shotgun I called in a real nice 8 point with the big can. He came to 40 yards and I smoked him. I have had some success with it on several occasions, just depends on the deer.
