Mineral Recipe (Much better than Dical and Mineralized Salt)

Sounds good, keep us posted. The koolaid and sugar does a good job of helping them locate it, but isn't really needed for a well established lick.

Mineral Recipe (Much better than Dical and Mineralized Salt)

The minerals I usually get at Tractor Supply or the local feed store. These are the minerals that I have tested and found to really work best for me. The important thing here is to have both a high quality free choice general mineral, and a high quality free choice spring mineral, both low salt...

Mineral Recipe (Much better than Dical and Mineralized Salt)

I have been tweaking variations of this for several years, but finally settled on a recipe. I have sites set up in every place I hunt, I freshen these up in mid to late March, and then again in mid June. The Mix that I use is: 1-50 lb bag of NutreBeef(r) Mineral (A good all around mineral)...

Any of y'all ever done a DIY Antelope hunt in WY?

6x6, thanks for the info, what units do y'all hunt over there? I actually worked in trophy units 91-93, back when I was in college as a summer job with the U of WY, I just don't have near as much knowledge about the other not so trophy units. We were planning on applying for a trophy unit, but...

Any of y'all ever done a DIY Antelope hunt in WY?

I personally would rather archery hunt, but everyone else is dead set on gun hunting, so the plan is to rifle hunt the first time out.

Any of y'all ever done a DIY Antelope hunt in WY?

Myself, and some friends are planning on putting in for tags this year, and will plan on it being completely DIY. Just looking for any good tips, if any of you have ever done this. Also I know there are trophy units that require a couple of years to get drawn, but what are some other units...

    Getting Good Pictures

I usually run cams basically all year long down here, we have deer that sometimes won't lose their antlers until April. I run them on Minerals from March-Oct, and the rest of the time I run them on food or water sources, trails, scrapes. This is what I use for a mineral mix down here in MS...

What are y'all's thoughts on score for this buck?

Thanks y'all, I am very happy with him. He is my first buck off of this piece of property (which is in the city limits), and my first buck that I have had on cam, and specifically set out to harvest. I decided to get him shoulder mounted, and will get him in an upright agressive pose to the...

What are y'all's thoughts on score for this buck?

cjgarrett I was actually sitting in that ground blind when he came in to a grunt call ready to whip some tail on Dec 20th. :) Would have liked to taken him with my bow, but we were getting 40 mph wind gusts that day, and I didn't want to chance it (infact that was the first time I had carried...

What are y'all's thoughts on score for this buck?

I know he won't score high, because he is only a 7 and has shortish brows, but just wanted to hear your thoughts. Now remember, this is a MS buck, not one of those 300 lb deer y'all have up there.:) Also, I am quite sure that this buck is 4.5 yrs old.
