This coming from someone who could identify poachers/trespassers right away just a few days ago. In my "adult opinion", they seem to have a damn good case against him............ck
I know when the rut starts because the trees on my acreage get slammed and this morning I found first carnage. Pine branches everywhere..............ck
There are otc leg cramp medications with quinine that work pretty well. I used it when my job required me to be up n down ladders all day..............ck
During early muzzy I had what I believe to be a 170ish 12 pt. standing behind a bush I left. I had a clear shot at the back hips only, which would have put him down but not kill him. My ethics would not let me take a known, non-fatal shot on the biggest buck, I've ever had a chance to...

Couple nights ago, I saw a huge bodied giant down by my crick. Darn near dark, but he was one of those that you know right away, ya know. Sadly, I would say over half his rack is already gone. I hope I get to see the buck that whipped this guy..........ck

There are nowhere near enough deer in Iowa to eat all the food available to them. I agree numbers are way down from the past in some areas. Audubon county where I live and hunt is one of them. And I agree that less does should be taken from these areas. Lots of counties have no anterless tags...
