Whithout a doubt- Iowa. The hunting has a lot to do with that answer but even if you take the awesome hunting out of the equation I would still say Iowa. I couldn't believe how honest and nice the people are. I want to raise my kids with those same values but it is tough with so many outside...

Is it worth it to pay an outfitter pretty big $$ or can a NR just knock on doors and get pretty good hunting (with maybe a few $)?

I was luky enough to draw a zone 9- bow tag. I'll have about 7-10 days to hunt. Taking the moon and past luck into consideration, what dates would you guys reccomend? I get knots in my gut just thinking about hunting Iowa!!!
