As far as I understand, if it is left on public land than it can be used by anyone. If the owner shows up I would get out of is ASAP to avoid a potential bad situation. Also be careful, I have heard of idiots "boobytrapping" their stands to make sure other people won't sit in them. Have never...
The fact that he isn't even trying to be sneaky makes me wonder if he even knows he is trespassing? Just some food for thought. Everyone should know land boundries, but it can get confusing when near the edges of some public lands, especially when no signs are posted. Not sure if that applies...
I just put up a new set last weekend in the corner of a picked cornfield near thick cover. With the temps dipping and the rut over they will be hitting the food sources hard, and I hope to be there waiting. :)
Hello,
I am thinking about experimenting with some switchgrass on my property this year and was wondering how exactly to go about it. I have read a lot from this thread and there is a ton of good information, but I just want to make sure I am understanding it correctly.
The area I plan...
Hello, I have a question about a plot I am thinking about trying in the spring. I have a grassy/weedy area that is between two agricultural fields. The upper field is relatively steep and the bottom field is flat, I am assuming that this strip was left untilled for erosion control. As of right...
If you have better options to enter/exit the stand, I would try to do that and no spook any deer, even if they are does. If that is not an option, I wouldn't scrap that stand if you are still seeing 15+ deer a night.
This is why I like to carry one of those small Rinehart targets in back of my truck and I always shoot one arrow before I head out to the stand just to make sure. Sorry about your bad luck.
I always drag a scent trail perpendicular to the way the wind is blowing. This way a buck may smell the scent trail and come to it before he gets directly downwind of me. Then I hang a scent wick 20 yards from my stand at the end of the trail and if all goes as planned, they follow the scent...
The sad part is that this woman will probably breed offspring, if she hasn't already. The only way you can be that stupid and still be an accepted member if society is if you are really hot, rich, or a politician.
I was wondering if I could get some direction on what to plant for a fall plot. This summer I cleared out an area that is about 30x30 yards out of a small patch of spruce trees on the edge of mature hardwoods. This patch was mostly short grasses and scrub trees, I cleared out all the trees and...
I am looking to buy 100 grain Magnus Stingers, either 2 or 4 blade, and Easton FMJ 500 arrows of at least 26" length if anyone out there is looking to sell or trade for them. If interested please e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks!
Thanks for the replies but I have more Rage heads than I know what to do with now. I posted this on Archerytalk and craigslist too and got several e-mails within the first hour.
I have seen a lot of posts on here over the years of people who have tried Rage 2-blades and did not like them for one reason or another. I have always had good luck with them so if anyone has some laying around and wants to sell them, I will buy. I will pay $5/ea. for new, never shot broadheads...
Will now sell the bow for around $300 if I need to ship, $270 or so if you live in central Iowa. If you live within a reasonable distance of Ames, I will also deliver. If you want pics or have any questions e-mail me at [email protected].
I am selling a RH Quest Smoke bow made by g5 outdoors. I bought this brand new from Cabela's in 2010 and ended up hurting my rotator cuff and never had a chance to shoot anything with it. The shoulder is still giving me problems so I am going to switch to something with lower poundage. I have...
