Agree with 30pt, hornady slugs, and id bet he was shooting sst's... They suck! Hate how any sst bullet has performed hunting. 12ga wouldnt group, and had problems with both slugs and muzzleload sst's not even expanding. xtp's are a very different story, but dont think they offer that bullet...

I use a hand muff as well, but also wear a pair of thinner gloves. Got some UA gloves i like, and a pair of hot shot gloves. Both windproof. Ive had frostbite and get very poor circulation in my hands, as well as easily lose feeling. I could go with just the muff, but it gets bad in a hurry...

If you plan on party hunting slop 1 or slop 2 season with an antlerless tag, you better double check regulations. Supposedly this was going to change and not be legal anymore. Party hunting only with your primary anysex tag essentially. May not have changed, just a heads-up

Just bought a few at theisens. $45 for 20' climbing sticks. $69 for a decent looking hang-on. And a 16' single ladder stand for $99. We'll see how they work, price was tollerable. Edit: i had also noticed some decent priced options in the latest sportsmans guide catalog!
