Hey guys and gals,
I'm looking for a new trail camera that will take great pictures and has good distance. Right now I'm running a Moultree and a Browning?
The Moultree is over my foodplot and I get good pictures but I see deer tracks further down the foodplot and I am not getting pictures...
I second this! I have these on my 2014 F250 diesel and when we go pheasant hunting in South Dakota we go down some bad roads. With these tires and my 4 wheel drive I have never gotten stuck.:D
This year my food plot is looking REAL nice, planted on August 10th. The turnips are maybe 4" in diamiater. I have never had large turnips before due to late planting. How big of diamiater can they get and do the deer like them as well if they are larger in size?
Where is a good place to buy bare root fruit trees? I have ordered from Stark Brothers before and got dwarf supreme 4-5' trees but would like something with better branching. I don't mind paying more for better tres.
I am interested in making my own deer sausage and smoking it. Does anyone here smoke there own deer sausage? Do you have any pictures of your smokers or smokehouses?
I have a horizon horizontal smoker but am interested in building a vertical smoker that I could hang meat in while smoking.
I have read some comments that some vacuum sealers get hot and then don't seal very well. How does the food saver do when packaging say one or two deer?
I am thinking about processing and packaging my own deer this year. I was looking on Cabelas website at processing equipment. My question is when you wrap your roasts, steaks and other cuts in freezer paper do you wrap the meat in plastic first like the locker does or do you just use freezer...
Check out the ellknut forum.....it has everything you need to know about elk hunting and lots of good information. Ellknut or Indian summer would be good people for you to ask questions to if you still have any after reading old posts.
Not sure where you are located but you could try : East Peru Lumber or I know there is a place in Lamoni on the West side of I35 just North of Kum and Go on the gravle road.

I have never bought from there I just drive by it sometimes.
I just planted sugar beets and field peas a week ago and was wondering how many bags of 13-13-13 I should put on. I have 4 bags total in my shop and planted maybe a 1/4 acre or a little bit more. Any suggestions or recommendations?
Tilled my food plot on July 3rd and 4th about 3/4 acre. Woke up today and it was raining, broadcasted my field peas and then my sugar beets. There was no way to work either one in the soil because it was too wet already at 6am. I'm hoping Mother Nature will work it in the soil enough for it...
Thanks for all the great advice! I forgot to mention that after the thinning is done, a man that does burning and timber improvement will come and spray the honeysuckle after a month. Then the following year he thinks there will be enough leaf litter and stuff on the ground to burn it.
I...
I'm having my small timber (6.5) acres thinned/cleared next week, my timber is very very thick right now. The man will cut everything 3" and smaller, he is using a large brush mower on his track loader so it will cut and mulch whatever he cuts. I have lots of honeysuckle shrubs and he said...
