What is your favorite day pack

Picked up my badlands 2200 a couple days ago. Seems pretty busy for a standard whitetail bowhunting pack. I do think it will serve me very well on my moose hunt in AK though. Thanks guys.

What is your favorite day pack

Thanks for the replies Has anyone used or even seen these http://www.eberlestock.com/X2%20Pack.htm ? I did not realize there were so many quality packs available. I have pretty much decided that Bass Pro blows as far as hunting supplies. Seems that Cabela's has way more stuff like this to shop...

    ? favorite bow hunting jacket

Hey guys, I would like to know what are some of your favorite mid season bow hunting jackets. I have plenty of bibs and pants, but I need another jacket. It must be able to buck the wind and be quite. I would like to be able to wear a goose down vest and base layer to extend through late season.

    soybeans in spin feeders

I am thinking of filling my corn feeders with soybeans or a soybean/ corn mix this fall and into next year. Do pigs eat soybeans just as much as they eat corn? I really would like to start getting some protein to the deer herd. What should I expect to pay for soybeans. I am thinking of geting...

    Moultrie gamespy 200 problem

I heard that if you cut up a flea and tick dog collar, that it would help prevent ants & other insects from being attracted to it. I have not yet tried it though. I have a big problem with the big brown ants being drown to the circuit board of my feeders.

stealth prowler or i40 or i60

I guess I could break it down further to narrow down my choice: what would you use over feeders vs what would you use on a known deer trail. Thanks

stealth prowler or i40 or i60

Hey guys. I have not been visiting much lately(terribly buisy). I am planning to upgrade to IR cameras this year. I have had great luck with stealths 35mm. I am currently using the cheap wildview now. I have got many good deer from them, but not many at all at night. I also have a moultrie 6v...

How to break up a Big Buck Fight!

No doubt in my mind I would have shot at least one of them. Before doing so I would make cetain I 1) gave the the deer more than enough time to seperate 2) would free the other animal. No way I could shoot both of them. Actually it would be hard to put an arrow in the first buck. It would be...

    full body or shoulder mount

Thanks for the inputs. Actually, I have a good friend of mine that is a very good taxidermist. He has walked me through getting several critters tanned/ect.. Thinking of having him walk me through doing these. I think that would ultimately mean the most to me in the long run. Either way, I have...

    full body or shoulder mount

Mounting them so they would fit into a corner is a great idea. Do you have any pics of some you have seen before? Forgot to mention that these were from Kansas. Hope I don't piss anyone off here, but all the deer from Kansas I have killed or helped clean, had kind of ratty capes. Although it...

    full body or shoulder mount

Here the deal, My grandfather found two huge deer skulls many years ago that were locked together. Everytime I would stay with him we would sit back and admire the two skulls. My grandfather passed away 3yrs ago and the last time I saw him he gave me the horns. We spent hrs trying to find...

    Help in Kansas

Got an uncle out in Council Grove. Majority of hunters road hunt out there. Not too familiar with what all public land that is available to hunt. Definately need to find some timber. Seems like that can be a little difficult to find though. That area still produced alot of quality deer despite...

Heat gonna delay rut any in Kansas?

Well, I did not meet up with a booner face to face. My hunting partner did come full draw with one at less than 10 yds on the 14th. Stopped him twice but both times behind trees. Anyway, I was still pumped for him. Seen many 130's-mid 140's. Probably should had sent an arrow into a questionable...

I'm just gonna hope for the best. Knowing my luck, it will bust wide open the day before I have to come home.

Heat gonna delay rut any in Kansas?

I guess that sounded a little snooty. That's not what I meant. All I have on my wall is a 142 from my family hunting land near Houston and a 158" my wife shot off my shoulder(1st deer). This is my 6th year to hunt this area. I for one, know very well that nothing is expected, even in Kansas...

Heat gonna delay rut any in Kansas?

It is great to see deer. But like many others here I am trying to hunt trophies. I am just a little unsure of how these cool sporatic days are gonna have on the rut. Wish it would stay cooler. Atleast it's not a full moon. I am fortunate enough to be able to go north and scout/do preparations...
