A very unique 5X5....with a very unique story...

A different looking 5X5 I thought I would share. Collected lots of footage of him throughout last fall. Very old deer, at least 9 1/2, you can really see it in his sagging body, and he has gone down hill. We have a long history, and I am not too proud to admit, I unsucsessfully tried to harvest...

Yeah, they made her throught the winter. The one in the back is young, 3 yrs old, so he might be worth looking at in the future, other than that the others in the pic are kinda duds. There was some decent ones wintering there, do you want to see? dbltree, thats a Saskatchewan Food plot right there!

2007 Harvest...and others from memories past

Yes all Saskatchewan. The terrain is a mix of ag and light timber, about 50/50 split. Very high hunter pressure. I'm not sure why you heard it either, but I wouldnt say its any harder to bowhunt sask than anywhere else, except compared to midwest US we have very liberal gun seasons which make...

Old Friends and Great Memories-The "Twin Towers"

Re: Old Friends and Great Memories-The "Twin Towe Reading this back, lots of memories, funny how a deer can be like family...maybe not funny, but sick...either way, a guy gets to know them over the years and its hard to stick one, or see one get shot, knowning youll never see that rack bobbing...

2007 Harvest...and others from memories past

Man, thanks again all. Gracious comments here not all deserved. I figure if you sit in a tree long enough something good has to walk by, so I sit there. lol. It is funny, I hunt mostly alone, with my wife now a bit, and one old friend of my fahters, but mostly because no one that has ever came...

    Kids these days!

Funny this subject came up. I thought about this last week. Kids up here are just as bad, and unlike the states even back when, kids here never were taught Mam, and sir. Last week I was visiting a landowner, and had brought a bag of candy for his little girl and boy that my wife had sent...
