I too took the extractor out. It just makes cleaning so much easier. I clean after every shot, even in the field. Before I put it up for the season I give it a hot soapy bath and let it air dry.

I got into my treestand this afternoon and never got a chance to sit down. This doe came in with a small buck in tow, so I shot her. It was my 1st. time out this year and like I said I never got a chance to sit down. In fact my back pack was still in the seat of the stand!
I am on vacation...and sick! I had an awfull cough yesterday and today. Man this sucks! My last 3 days of vacation and I'm at home sniffling and hacking. Hopefully I'll be out tomorrow!

A friend of mine was climbing down from his tree stand and saw one. He said he climbed back up in a hurry. It ended up walking around the tree he was in for a while and went on his way. This was in Van Buren county.

Well, if it isn't one thing it another. I was adjusting my nock point with a cheap pair of Wal-mart nock pliers and cut into my serving. I removed the serving and found out that I had also cut into a strand or two of my bow string. It's been about 2.5 years since I had a new string installed...
