    Help a new bowhunter out!

My recomendation is to go to this site http://ortho.gis.iastate.edu/index.html and download the 2004 satellite map of your hunting area. From there, just locate the best bottleneck in the timber and set your stand there.

THE BEGINNING OF THE END, ENJOY WHAT WE HAVE NOW!

Re: THE BEGINNING OF THE END, ENJOY WHAT WE HAVE N I agree with Bowmaker. I think that the doe tags should be Oct. 1- Jan. 10 with the appropriate weapon per season. I'd love to use any bow-doe tag I have left to hunt does with my muzzleloader instead of having to buy another tag if I want to...

    Any one else feeling SICK......

I had a real bad cold coming on last Friday...sniff...sniff...probably was going to keep me out of work this week. It was miraculously cured around 3:15 on Sunday if you know what I mean. Take Dayquil, put on your longjohns, and get in a tree.

    I'm doing my happy dance!

Here's the story… Saturday night I was out late with Tineseeker helping to haul out his buck (see “Tineseeker Bags a Bruiser”) and with my bad back I was feeling pretty miserable. I didn't get up until 8:30 AM Sunday morning and one look at the 40 mph winds outside made me just a little more...

Tineseeker bagged a bruiser! (Story added)

Hopefully Tineseeker will get on here and give the full story but he's giving finals this week and asked me to post pics for him. Passed a montec right through the heart, but not how you would imagine! It's a great story and I was proud to help drag this baby out! Way to go Tineseeker!!

    Iowa City area lockers

I second the vote for Ruzickas. I get their smoked brats and summer sausage with cheddar cheese. I also think the pepperoni sticks are pretty good. The only fault I find is that I understand they batch the meat. I've had some stuff from the Keota locker and I didn't care for it too much...
