i went back out tonight....(4:30-7:30) and got about 15 yards from a doe and her twin fawns....they were around for about half and hour, and it was one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen. it didn't even cross my mind to shoot the doe...what a night.

i went out about 8:00 this morning and sat until 9:30 and decided to go walk before lunch. went walking and saw a doe down in the creek. waited until she presented me with a shot and took her. one shot and she was down. my first deer of the year! yay!

i really like it...being 15 and this being my last youth season to hunt....i'm sad it was only put into action for this year. it will give me a chance to get out in the timber more and hopefully give me a shot at a large, "unsuspecting" buck. if not, i will always have my dad buy extra...
