I am about to head down to the farm that I hunt in Iowa to get some rocks out. The farm that I hunt grazes cattle, anyone have suggestions to plant some fall plots just for deer without the cows getting them? It is a great piece of land, but can be discouraging seeing angus prior to antlers.

Put in three fall plots today. One in Biologic winter bulbs and sugar beets, another in Whitetail Institute tall tine tubers. While planting I also added clover and chicory into the mix for the spring. Anyone else try this and how did it turn out?

How many of you hunt zone 9 and when do you have the best luck for bow hunting.
