    Thoughts About Setting Hunting Goals

You talked about going to 3d shoots this summer and archery ranges. I being new to Iowa found it kind of intimidating shooting with people who dont know you very well. These same guys wouldn't even talk to me until one day I got extremely lucky and shot a really good group then they were...

    Aging in the field

Never met any of you on here and was just wondering how old everyone is. Don't be like a bunch of women and say it is none of your business, if you don't want folks to know don't reply. I am 29 years old and learn about hunting whitetails about everyday.

    Stand on public ground?

I would say yes it is yours. This happened to me 2 years ago and the guy didn't know what to do. Just tell them you are moving the stand. They know it isn't theirs so they should get down and be real embarassed.

Wear the harness fellas, I know it is a pain in the butt but, it will keep us alive for many more hunts. If you think about it, 5 to 10 minutes wont kill us but it may save us. You owe to your family.

Split G3, If your a kid and you are wearing blaze orange. I believe you realize you are there to hunt and not play. Does this make sense to you? LITTLE FRUSTRATED

Good point, but the folks who were hunting the adjacent land are not the owners and I have now found out that they didn't have permission to be there. I dont own the land but do work for the landowner, I too grew up on a farm and you are exactly right.

    LITTLE FRUSTRATED

I am not one to complain about other hunters or even hunters bringing there kids. I think it is great to get kids involved but I am a little perplexed at this behavior. I am hunting private land that has a old logging road dividing property of the land I am on and there other peoples. I am set...

    Arrowhead

I am from Tahlequah, Oklahoma in NE Oklahoma. Lake Tenkiller is feed by the Illinois river and there is absolutely thousands of arrowheads down there. We used to go fishing on Tenkiller and people would be lined up on the banks looking for arrowheads. The one you have is in very great shape...

    Looking to Spring

Egyptian wheat is planted more in the south than in this region but like shredder said it has to be replanted each year although some stalks may come back. Alot of bird hunting ranches grow this type of wheat as it provides great cover and food source. It can get as high as 8 to 10 feet. When it...
