    How old is mature?

I'm with Old Buck. I would say to have a mature buck, you have to be in the 4 1\2--6 1\2, neighborhood. Not saying that you can't see a big rack earlier than that, because you can. As far as genetics, you do see some pretty sorry basket racks, year after year. On my property I see baskets often...

    Trespassers!

Thanks guys for the responses. But I think Big Timber is on the right track. The reason that I ask is, I have a pretty good piece of land that is close to one of our wonderful cities. But because of that, I always have eyes seeing the deer on the place. Which in return gives me a big headache...

    PSE Team Primos

Thanks Cooper, great post! A lot of info, and not a lot of mud slinging. I've heard comments regarding tech support from Mathews, but as a owner of one, your feed back was great. Most of the time when you ask something about a bow, you get beat over the head with Mathews, and Hoyt. Their...

    PSE Team Primos

Thanks Tinks, I'm just trying to get as much info on this bow as possible. I agree, it's pretty hard to beat a Hoyt, or a Mathews.

Does anyone know anything about this bow? I was talking to the rep. tonight, and he was trying to get me to buy one. Says it's just as good as Mathews,Hoyt, and a few others. Made a dam good arguement! Any feed back on this would be great....

    leased hunting

On the western side of the state there is alot of public ground that is land locked close to the river. You can debate all day what's wrong and right about CRP land, but here's one that I have a problem with. When the state buys land with our tax dollars, they shouldn't buy the kind of land that...

    Doe with antlers!!!!

Be careful 8 point, attitude may get you attacked by the others.. Don't worry though, there are some of us on here that have their own opinions. I would have to say that a doe with antlers is a rare find. I've hunted for 20 years now, and I've never seen one. And no one in this area has ever got...

    Rub Lines?

When setting up in an area, Do you think it is more important to set up on rub lines that are made early by bucks living in the area? Or would you rather set up on rubs made late, that are made by bucks showing dominance in a core area?

What call would you recommend for a beginner?

I agree with Muddy. I would say it all depends on the distance you are trying to call. A single reed mouth call for short distance, and a good box call for long, is pretty hard to beat...

    MEAT LOCKERS

Shot my buck 11-11-01, took it to a locker in Omaha, and just got it back yesterday also. When I dropped him off, there was around 60 deer in their parking lot. Opening day rifle in NE. I was beginning to think they lost my order in the pile of deer.. It was so hot though, there wasn't much of a...

    What is the biggest buck?

My brother-in-law shot a 189 7\8 a few years back. With a shotgun in Fremont Co. It will probably be at the classic. It's been touring with the Bass Pro shop tour for a few years. Great buck though Ryan, you'll probably spend the rest of your life chasing giants. A 184 kind of sets your sights...

How many years have you been hunting?

I started bowhunting when I was 12. Learned everything I know from my Grandpa! That was in 87'. Shot my first deer the following year,10 pointer. Hooked ever since! Didn't do much shotgun or muzzle loader hunting. Grandpa was old school, didn't hunt with anything but a recurve since 1945.
