Ishi’s 2025 Fishing Journal! (Who Would Have Thunk)

I read through before the pics were visible and so glad that has been fixed. I like the idea of being off the ground in that truck set up. Planning on doing more trout fishing soon, both spin and fly. Thanks for sharing!

    How much rain ? ☔️

I would think the amount of rain locally says it should be a bad year for EHD, but I know of a leaking pond that will have a mud bank if it stops raining.

Converting invasives to natives, worth the squeeze?

Saw a somewhat related management story on the news last night; Bur Oak and Americorps Not a fan of Bur Oak Trust for a couple of reasons, though somewhat like what they are doing. Wish I could get Americorps funding to manage my properties.

Tactics for stopping or nailing poachers….

I'll second that it takes "a neighborhood" and being an unhinged jerk can go a long way. I caught a trespasser decades ago. I took a Wednesday off work and guess he thought no one would be out hunting. I "rattled" him in. He walked under the tree I was in, and I jumped out from about 6 feet...

Unreal Day of Fishin in Costa Rica

I'm sure Kratz will weigh in as well, but from personal experience, we didn't have much luck fishing when I took the boys for spring break. When Julie and I went back down (Tamarindo) for Labor Day weekend, we caught what the boat crew said was the largest Mahi Mahi they had seen caught all...

    Back in bees?

Worked the hives tonight with a pro to help fix my mistakes. Needed to trim some comb to fit it in frames, squeezed the trimmings. Intense floral flavor! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Pumpkins are struggling

Sevin is highly toxic to bees, from what I've read. I'm swimming in bees this year, which is good.

Watered tomatoes in the garden Friday and got 3" of rain yesterday. Go figure. Maybe it will work for you too.

    Land prices summer 2025 & on….

FWIW: Warren Buffett owns a 400-acre farm near Omaha, Nebraska, which he purchased in 1986. He bought the farm for $280,000 and it has since tripled its earnings and is worth five times more than his initial investment, according to ABC News. Buffett's son, Howard Buffett, also owns and operates...
