you are to cut them in slices and peel off or cut the skin or "rind" off. They must be white inside to be good to eat . any discoloration and you should discard them.

I agree . It is a great deal for the kids to get a second chance on a youth tag. Last year one of my youth sons ate a tag but we moved right into bow season after that. I guess I dont understand why the tags aren't transferrable into an archery tag, Why only the gun seasons?????
