Lol, so what is on his phone that's more interesting than than what's going on in front of him?
It's good you got pictures, I don't think anyone would believe you otherwise.
Gotcha, I didn't realize you were talking about snaring in deep snow. I do the same thing. I like to stomp down my own trail through deep snow banks on the edge of a grass fields and then put snares on the trail. Instant coyote funnel!
I like what you are saying about bends in the trail...
With it being left so long, my bet is that someone figured that nobody wanted them and took them for themselves. I'd be checking with all the employees of the locker.
FYI, I just received a call yesterday asking if they were OK to process my donation I made back in October. I'm not sure why it hasn't been done yet but I told them to go for it. Am I the only one who had this?
I wonder how many of the guys who said they were waiting for the market to drop ever bought land? This is pretty much exactly what our land price threads sound like today.
You must have a way better thermal than me. I called two in last night. they both hung up around 400 yards. Due to weather conditions things were a little more hazy than normal. There is no way I could have told you with 100 % certainty that those weren't deer. I'm pretty certain but I did not...
I wonder how many deer are shot having been mistaken for coyotes through a thermal and left without saying a word? I don't know how often it happens, but I promise you it happens. I have mistaken a small deer for a coyote more than once looking through my thermal in long grass. Never to the...
Do you still have the sheer or did you abandon it for the mulcher? I'm looking to try a new attachment for dealing with cedars and some other junk this year.
A puller would be the most economical but limited on size. Is a sheer worth the cost?
They have a setting for exactly that. I have mine set to send pics at midnight and noon. Midnight only is an option though. I do not see an option for a 24 hour delay which is what would be needed per this law. I would think that would be an easy option to add though.
Interesting, I could get on board with this. It still allows for remote monitoring of property, just shut them down a day before you go hunt and keep them off while hunting.
I've thought about this myself. I'm a little bothered by the idea of limiting the deer's entrance and escape options with a fence while actively hunting. It'd sure be nice to have a fence that didn't require the constant maintenance of spraying that a hot wire needs though.
I'd like to see them nip this in the bud before it becomes a big thing. No supplemental feeding at all during deer season seems like a pretty crystal clear way to do it.
