    what to do?

it seems to be the worst during shotgun seasons due to the party hunting and pushing deer. this seems to bring out the worst in this guy. i think he knows who owns every piece of ground around him and tries to know where there at before he runs through there property. I am planning on contacting...

I agree sligh1. Do you think I should contact the dnr just to prevent it from happening again next year?

    what to do?

First shotgun season I am standing by my gate when a hunter comes walking up my road with his light on. I wait until he gets close and ask what the hell he is doing? He is in a panic wearing no orange and tells me the neighborhood outfitter dropped him off on the property to the west of me and...

I am fine with it like it is, however I would like a bow tag every year. I dont think nrlo tags would affect the deer herd negatively, access may change a little for residents, which is happening anyway. My main concern is the outfitting bussines that is fueled by nr tags, this would kill the...

You are correct JDuubs. Some people are so closed minded to think they dont need to comprimise, the dnr needs money and they will get it from the nr somehow. Tags or nrlo rights one or both will eventually happen!

Duckdogs I agree with you on everything but I am not big on being the ethics police! If it is not against the law and you wanna do it go ahead! I personally enjoy walking on pushes, seing the deer trails and sign that iowa deer leave! This kind of hunting is unique to iowa and they dont have near...

Its a good wind just gotta get it in your favor! Talk with your neighbors, make friends and you will have more land than you could ever hunt!!:drink2:OH thats right some of you think that it is not ethical when a nr party hunts with residents on nr land!:moon:

Cedar knows all! I hunt my property for a buck each year, let residents manage the does and plant food plots and they help during shotgun while i wait for bow tag! Dont care either way about nrlo tags. I just dont want outfitters for neighbors. I dont want more nr tags, this is what will ruin...

I said all along to pick your poison, change is coming! NRLO getting a tag is not going to fuel the outfitting business and that is what ruined the other states! We need to worry about the extra 6000 tags going to nr not the 1000 dollar nrlo tag to hunt only there land! When the outfitters have...

    What County do you hunt?

so what is the law for resident landowners? Do they not have to own the land? Can they hunt leased land with a landowner tag? How many acres does it take to get one? Sorry cedarcreek didnt mean to ruffle your feathers but I guess all residents know and FOLLOW the regs! I am from N.C.:drink2:

Not correct the landowner is theonly one that can hunt it. You cannot lease hunting rights and hunt it with a landowner tag.

    Yet more from FOI

A nrlo cant lease land and hunt on it, if landowner tags were granted! Just like a resident has to use his landowner tag on HIS own land.Outfitters would be the problem, although I am sure more nr would buy more land, not as many as you think.:thrwrck:

Totally agree they should not change, but they need money and are going to get it from the nr hunter or nrlo! And you are correct FOI are greedy!

    Sf 219

If a nrlo leases land his tag is not good on the leased property. It would be pretty dumb to lease land you cant hunt! nrlo would have a hard time being a outfitter without living there. It is my understanding if i own 80 acres or 1000 acres I get 1 tag, how could I become an outfitter? Again...

Yea but nrlo tags puts them on there land only,Not the outfitters! Outfitters ruined other states because of the abundent nr tags, not land owner tags!:thrwrck:
