I went down and found no evidence of switch germination and thought I could cross the creek so I went for it. 4 quarts/acre of Simazine down. I’ll get some Duracor on order for later this summer if I need it.

I had broadcast switch earlier this spring and intended to hit it with Simazine before green up. With the rains and the location of this particular field, I haven’t been able to spray yet. Is there a drop dead date (or more likely development stage) after which you shouldn’t spray Simazine on...
I got my corn planter finished the day after a 1.75” rain. Been raining off and on ever since and I can’t get in the field! [emoji23] Good problem for us right now. I am using g leftover corn from a local farmer. Is there a “too late” date for a corn food plot? Also got my Acuron in the mail...
It would seem to me that this is a part of the plan. They don’t do anything like this without a plan for what’s next…

Row cleaners installed. Keeton seed firmers put back on. As soon as the wind isn’t blowing I’m gonna put the new seed opener disks on and we’ll be real close.

Came up I-35 and the first 5 miles I was in Iowa I probably saw 50 deer. That would take a month back home. [emoji23]

If this is the wrong place for this, feel free to delete. Gonna end up in Des Moines this weekend. Is there anywhere I have to eat? I was told Zombie Burger is an experience. Anywhere else?

That guy Ken Corbet they mention from Kansas... A walking conflict of interest. As an outfitter, he is trying everything in his power to further his business. All at a substantial cost to the common hunter...
Yeah I was saying that tongue in cheek, but Oklahoma is turning out some nice bucks. Another thing to consider is the type of hunt you want. If you want it to be kinda like Iowa, you better stay East where there is timber. That Western deal is a whole new world. Completely different experience...
Haha! In all honesty I think Western Kansas is kind of hot right now. It may have something to do with public access? It moved around from Northeast to North-central. Then South-central and now I think West. I have a friend in SE Kansas and he sees a lot of nice deer, but again I think the...
