Got this guy morning of Dec. 10th:
I sat in my stand that morning without seeing much, so I decided to leave and check out a few ridges where deer like to bed. With 8" of fresh snow on the ground it was a great morning for spot and stalk/still hunt.
I made my way along a ridge and spotted...
Must be the same one spotted around me. Canton, SD. He was seen by Newton Hills several times by reliable friends. I never seen him personally though.
Last I heard he was seen in Iowa.

Looked for it, but to no avail. He rolled/tumbled about 50 yds down hill. The broken off point blended in with the deadfall, twigs, and rock on the ground as you can see in the picture. Oh well!
After 6 days of hunting I was finally able to get a shot at a bull. We spotted him along with 3 other bulls from a long ways away. Made a 2hr stalk and a good shot (heart). He went about 75yds and tipped over rolling down the slope and breaking off his 5th point on one side. Oh well, I'm still...

Treadmill in front of a t.v. with the outdoor channel on works for me. I try to lift throughout the year, the older I get the more I realize how important stretching is before and after a work out! I found doing some crunches really help also, a strong midsection and stretching relieves back...
