    Absolutly Disgusted

    Don't think it was so much that the tree swelled as much it was probably just the swaying of the tree during high winds. I know I want the straps as tight as possible but there needs to be room for some movement.

    Five Ridge Prairie Public hunting in NW Iowa

    I used to hunt from ground on public land near me. I found a big tree that fallen and sat behind it on a stool. Had several deer, pheasants and other hunters walk by with out ever an issue.

    My attempt at a hay bale blind

    Nice work. Guy at work made a hay bale blind last year he'll be jealous. Even if it got wet put in another rope for your hunting buddy and the two of you could walk it around. I can picture seeing a hay bale roaming around the corn field like some cartoon.
