Derby has closed. Loved that course. Montezuma still has shoots. Not sure on sigourney. Pella/knoxville has 3 shoots. Dates posted above. Mid Iowa puts on great shoots as well. Ottumwa has 3/4 shoots as well.
Hickory ridge 3d shoots are:
June 21 (1st leg of triple crown w/ wapello and MIA)
July 18/19 (ASA shoot and regular shoot)
Aug 16 (donation shoot). Each year we choose a group to donate 100% shoot profits to. This year it is Veterans of Rathbun.
I'm not familiar with a your machine and how it compares to a Polaris but I put 40 gallon in Polaris 500 midsize many of times and it was doable. Buddy puts 50-60 in his Polaris 1000 and it handles it just fine.
Can you imagine the level of TDS that would take place. We'd have to triple the amount of syc hospitals, stock in anxiety and depression meds would sky rocket, and facebook would literally melt down. lol.
A buddy of mine who goes out west swears by Kenetrek but said it takes a lot of miles to break them in.
I don't go out west but I went with a Crispi boot, not sure what model, but I love them so far. Light wt and comfortable. They seem to be holding up well, which for what they cost they better.
Not sure why or how the hell this can get slipped into farm bill. It's being publicized by every dog association there is.

Listening to Lahn on the Shawn Ryan show now that a buddy sent me this morning. Interesting listen. Hope he can gain some traction and get his name out there more.
As a houndsman I'll just piss ya all off and say I hate these events and thermals being used period. For events like this and any other time of the year. For a lot of same reasons stated above and a few more. There I said it, pile on. lol
Short notice but thought I'd post it anyway and help them advertise. I think it's a cool idea and hope it goes over well. No cost to set up a table and I'm sure it's not to late. Definitely not too late to just come browse. Info is all on the flyer.
I don't think it's that simple and I know most here won't give 2 shits about this but this would really upset the coon hunters and would not fly with their association if you said NR couldn't purchase an Iowa hunting and fur harvester. I know it's not as big of sport as it used to be but there...
I heard last week we have gone from approximately 90 COs to 60. A lot are covering 2 or 3 counties. That's an impossible task and this needs to change.
Out of curiosity are they actually skinning them out and selling or just leaving lay? Are they doing it on their own property for population control to protect crops or maybe to save some nesting birds?
If the law was written correctly in the first place we wouldn't be having this discussion. Not against the compromise but not 100% for it either. Will that targeted time of high poaching cases just shift from Nov to Dec/Jan and we never really gained much? I don't know the answer to that. Leave...
