    Moultrie Cam

I had a coupe of these out all summer. At first I was very impressed with them for the money, but not so much anymore. My homebrew is out in the field right now while my Moultrie's are in the basement collecting dust. Recently I determined that they utilize the "sure-shot" feature, which...

    Gotta love the cuddebacks :(

Muzzy, was your cam mounted securely or to a large enough tree so that it would not move in the breeze? Otherwise there might not be anything wrong with your cam, other than it being a Cuddeback. I've had that happen on two different occasions with two other camera models. After moving...

How often should you move a camera?

How long does everyone leave a camera in the same location? I've been having good luck over a mineral lick, but catching pictures of the same group of does and fawns and occasionally one small buck. The buck doesn't show up very often. I keep thinking the big one will pass through eventually...

    New Camera

I purchased two of these units and am very pleased with them. One has been out in the field since mid-June with no issues. Last time it sat for 3 weeks and took 145 pics. The solar panel kept the battery nearly fully charged. Haven't checked the second one yet. Good sensing and pics.

Anybody using the cuddeback no flash?

I purchased an Excite and also noticed movement resulted in a blurry picture. Several other issues showed up after a few weeks in the field - moisture problems, wouldn't always write to CF card, and seemed out of alignment. Mine went back to the store. I have cheaper units that perform better.

    Anyone have a Moultre Digital

First time I checked my Moultrie 4.1 it had 179 pictures of grass, a few with a tractor going by. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but I figure it had to do with my tripod design which allowed the camera to move in the wind. I once had this happen with a 35mm camera from a...

    Disposable vs. Rechargeable

Here is what I've learned about batteries in the past. Lithium - normally increments of 3V, most expensive, best performing battery in cold weather, handles large current draw, provides constant voltage for life of battery (no way to predict remaining life by voltage), well-suited to fast draw...

    Anyone have a Moultre Digital

I set out one of the 4.1 MP Moultries a week ago. Plan to check it in about ten days. Saving gas for the hunting season. One nice feature is the external solar panel connectors. Took some pictures in the backyard and was satisfied with them. Right out of the box one of the circuit boards...
