Something defintely turned on tonite. Saw 4 nice bucks, 2 shooters from 5:30-6:30 moving w/out much concern of being seen. With moon the way it is, would you go out in the morning or tomorrow evening? I'm leaning towards evening as I have to believe they are going to be on the move a lot...
Two decent 8's a mile apart and right off a well traveled road at 5:30 tonite. Didn't care who saw them. First time I've seen this all year and has to be a very good sign.
Good article in Peterson's Bowhunting about does as "live bait". I have to agree. If you are still trying to kill a big buck, I'd let the does alone. Lots of time to kill does after the rut. I'm hunting the same spot I did last year. Saw 1 shooter buck on the property all of last year...
Here's the story I just posted on my thread regarding a buck I hit in the shoulder on Monday...

I recovered the arrow after about 200 yds. Good blood on it thick up to 8-9". The blood on the ground was bright and defintinely had some bubbles in it. It was a for sure shoulder shot as I watched him run away with the arrow sticking out his left side. Just hoping that broadhead did some...
Ghost - No bedding down - yet. I went in to see if there was blood, and with the amt I was seeing, I figured I'd walk up on him laying dead. First 250 yds found hand print sized splatters every other step, then literally nothing. I'll wait until after lunch at least. Thanks.
40 yds slight quartering away and still caught front shoulder. Only got about 8 inches of arrow penetration but good blood for the first 250 yds, then just some clots and now nothing! I backed off hoping he might lay down. The blood I was following was good and bright and even had some...
