Well i really dont knw if the rut has really kicked off cause alot of button bucks still being seen with mature does so she hasnt came into heat and i havent walked into the timber and smelled that mrs. doe pee lol

But the heat this year is playing a huge role in the numbers last year was one of the best for the ground i hunt shotgun season killed a number of 160 deer and over 30 does, so it depends on where your at i guess

scent drippers work good, used them last year bucks will hit it no matter wat

thanks for all the input, the reason i ask is ill be hunting in southern iowa this weekend and not sure how much freezer room we have its just a freeze in the top of frigde so i was'nt sure what to do. Really wanted to shoot a doe friday night.

With the weather near the high 70's how long do you guys think i could let a deer hang before skinning out?

i used them last year and had alot of bucks show up during day light, was it cause the dripper i dnt know but wat i do knw is that it kept it for long periods of time so if i wasnt able to be there every weekend it still put the scent down which is wat i liked

this year im going to uni and was wondering if there is any good piblic ground i could hunt and see nice deer, such as sweet marsh or big marsh i need help killing me not know any where to hunt

what do you guys thank about rattling this weekend into next or even through the rut good bad or are they more hooked on does

yea thanks guys..... i havent been out the last week cuz of a house fire but plan on being out there next weekend dont knw if i should try some grunts and rattling do u think thy would come into

my parents house caught on fire this past monday, and in all that my bow and all my hunting ass. were burnt including 3 very special mounts i had so hoping the best of luck to the rest of you go get them
