I'm frostbit and tired... :D Went on a back pack trip with 7 other guys. We dropped the trailer at the americ inn in Two Harbors, MN packed to Tower stayed at the Fortune Bay Casino then off to International Falls where the wind temperature was -41 F and crusing 60 mph on a snowmobile is really cold :D, then off to Virginia and the Sawmill Bar and the final day was back to Two Harbors. Ton of fun but I do not recommend a MX style helmet with goggles when it is below -3 or 4 F... I have two nice frost bite patches on my cheeks that will be with me for a month or so I would imagine but it was all worth it. Awesome trail conditions and a lot of fun. Here are some images along the way of the 644 miles... :way:

I love sledding, looks like you had a blast, great area, coldest area in north america....how is your ski doo performing? See many deer near the trails?

Nice... cant believe you wore that kind of helmet... my step grandparents have a cabin/house in the UP.. we snowmobiled all over hell up there.. its a good time... shoot any open water? That's a blast

7 Ski Doos and one guy that was dropped on his head as a child and rode an Arctic Cat Z1 turbo with a boondocker (stock 177 hp and can take it to 270 with race fuel in it)... :D All performed flawless even in the cold temperatures. Had two four strokes and there is no pull start on those so we were glad when they started in the morning in the Falls when it was so cold. The sleds seemed to love the colder weather really crisp... We saw quite a few deer and between Babbitt and Tower we saw a wolf (first for me) crossed in front of us then looked back for about 30 seconds and was gone. Really cool. Love riding up there the trail conditions were excellent and didn't really see that many sleds until Saturday which with the warmer temps and it being the weekend we figured we would see more... Got 1,000 miles on this winter so far. :way:

Nice... cant believe you wore that kind of helmet...

It's a 509 with the 509 goggles and I have been fine riding in -20 but I had some issues with the snow dust getting sucked up and right at the edge of the goggles for some reason and it was like having ice cubes in one place for 2 to 3 hours at a time... :D

Looks like an awesome trip...always wodered what it would be like up there in the winter. I think you should share a picture of what your cheeks look like now :way:.
