I just got back from a 2 week hunt back home in Iowa. Saw alot of deer.( 4 BIG ones.) I had several shot opportunities but held off for one of those big ones.I only saw each of them once though. I was thinking maybe I should have taken one of those earlier shots.But, with 15 minutes of light on the last night I managed to fill my tag with a 25 yard shot on a nice buck.Patience does pay off.
I saw more turkeys than I have ever seen in my life.Almost unbelievable. I know where I will be in May.
I also decided to take the dog out to shoot a few pheasants on that "breezy" morning last Thurs. Anyone else hunt that day. We could barely stand up.
