Well my wifes dad talked me into going north to fish some muskies. He cant figure out why I enjoy bow hunting so much and I couldnt figure out the whole muskie fishing craze. I had fished a few days with him in minnesota and thought man this is a lot of work with no pay-off. We headed to nestor falls and I started the week off with a 38 1/2 on the first night. The rest of the week was pretty slow as far as they were concerned but I hooked into 5 muskies in 4 days with my big one being 48 1/2. I wont give up bow hunting but I definetly found an adrenalin rush for the summer months. My father-in-law has been going on the trip for 12 years and he said this was the worst between 4 guys we caught 16 with my 48 1/2 as the big. If that was a bad year I cant wait for a good year.

Very Nice....I don't dare fish for those for I don't need another outdoors addiction. Looks like a blast.
 
So you're saying your father-in-law won't have to ''talk you into it'' next time? Nice fish man, you have this kid jealous!
 
I'm telling ya... play with fire and ya get burnt. What was the hot bait and what time of the year?
 
We were throwing mostly wades wobblers, or sandcats but we really had them hitting on big crankbaits torward the end of the week. We were up there the last week in june.

That could be the understatement of the year...hahaha! About 2 grand later in boat rennovations to muskie fish and enough gear for 5 guys for "normal" fishing I feel like I've finally got my feet wet muskie fishing. Thanks again Thomas you bastard. :D:D
