Another Mountain Lion in MO

MO Dept of Conservation confirmed another mountain lion today a few hours from St Louis. That makes 17 confirmed in MO since 2010. The one today was caught in a live mammal trap, brought to town, then MDC took over for testing and released it back to the wild!

MDC insists there isn't a breeding population (most have been young males with DNA that can be traced to South Dakota).

That explains our diminishing deer population :).

Did they end up putting a radio collar on that cat before releasing it? Be interesting to see where he heads to from there.

That's interseting. Probably more have passed through Iowa than what most people would think then if they are traced to South Dakota, especially being trapped over in St. Louis.

Definitely, they travel the MO & MS rivers down. I can't believe there isn't more sightings in IA.

There was a tagged cat from SD they caught and released outside of Minneapolis. One year later the cat was killed in Connecticut.

That's crazy!

With all the trail cams out,,interesting more are not caught in pictures. What about Big Foot sightings? Watching Calble shows seems they are in every state too.
