Anyone apply Line-x/ bed liner to a gun stock?

I was thinking about spraying my savage 220 stock with a line x type adhesive. The stock is kind of cheap plastic if you ask me and they can be kind of slippery in the winter. Anyone ever do this before? Tips?

I have done this a few times for some friends, since i am in the painting business, the biggest factor is what material you decide to go with will decide what prepertation is needed. but the best advise is make sure the surface is sanded,etched good and clean, and cleaned with a good degreaser so it adheres to the surface.

Make sure you use something with a little tack in it. My LineX is pretty slick and I know they offer a tackier version
