Are we Harvesting Enough Deer?

All the imput written on this subject so far is right on the money. Read the latest legislative report. There are some car/deer accidents in a particular spot in Iowa, and right away,,someone is saying," Are we killing enough"?There may be a particularly thick population near a given highway, or some other freak, piculiarity in one spot and right away the call goes out,,,,Those Dang Deer are too Thick.

The interest groups that are against deer suffer from a very serious condition called TUNNELL VISION!! They are closed-minded, pessimistic, and don't see in any light, the BIG PICTURE. They could look at the recent post put together by Bowmaker and blame all of the facts solely on a late harvest. Then they will push for even farther population decimation because the late harvest means there will be way, WAY too many deer next year. They will never get it. The '10-'11 regs will tell us, as hunters, a lot about whose side the DNR is really on. I hope they come through.
