Has anyone had any experience fletching feathers with the Arizona EZ fletcher? Vanes are fletching very smoothly while feathers aregiving us some troubles. Any thoughts?
 
I do it a lot. What kind of problems are you having? Watch the feathers closely as you clamp the thing shut...once in awhile they tend to slip a bit, especially on the back side. If you watch them closely you can usually eliminate this.

The front end of the feather doesn't stay in the groove all the time. We are using some fast set glue and I am suspecting that we may have some settting up a little too quickly. Then when we tighten the jig down the feather is not settling into place.
Any glue suggestions? Thanks.
 
I would let each sit several minutes in the jig and not shoot until the next day. That's the bad part about not using the Fastset....it's slow.
