One of the events main features includes live bald eagle programs presented hourly from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. by the Minnesota Raptor Center. The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota is a premier organization known throughout the country for its rehabilitation, conservation and study of eagles. Staff and volunteers will be on hand with spotting scopes at the North Tailwater Recreation Area from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. to help you find eagles and answer your questions. A free shuttle service from Central College to the North Tailwater outdoor viewing location will be available. Shuttles will depart every 15 minutes from Central College's Graham Conference Center from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Stop by the Red Rock Visitor Center, located on the south end of the dam, to enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Red Rock, view a bald eagle movie and pick up general information about Iowa's Largest Lake.
Admission to Bald Eagle Day is free and open to the public.
