I hunted a new set last night for the first time. What a great night. I had non stop action starting about a half hour after getting to the stand. I saw 17 deer in all. All Does and small bucks. Had shots at 9 of them if I would have wanted too. A couple of the does were niced sized and one of them was a huge mature doe, one of the biggest I have ever seen. Had her at 10 yards, would have loved to stick a rage through her, but I took my one doe for the frezzer last weekend. Her and her fawn fed around me for 20 min, never knew I was there and stayed withing 40 yards for an hour. Also had a promising looking young 7 point at 15 yards for over 15 minutes eating. Just a great sit. I was concerned I was not going to be able to get out of the stand as I had deer all around at last light.
