Here's a link to front page news in today's Quad City Times. They are considering allowing bow hunting in city limits.

What are your experiences in other parts of the state that have allowed hunting inside of city limits? Has it been a success at thinning the herd? Any safety issues? From a liability standpoint, I would think these cities have a whole lot more to risk by not allowing hunting vs. hunting. It would be nice to see good info for doing this hunt before the antis get into the arena.

I don't know why Marshalltown allows it, but they allow 12 (I think) archers to hunt river bottom inside the city limits. I had to sign a waiver to hunt and was not given a special license-used regular DNR tag. I did it last year a few times but not this year-tons of deer there, but I had more shots at people on motorcycles.
