A friend called me tonight and said his dad-in-law had shot a large buck with his muzzleloader just before dark. I rushed out to see it, and here is what I found. This buck is a 5 x 8 with a 20 inch inside spread. The brow tine was broken or it would have been a 6 x 8. This buck had the largest neck I have seen yet. I know he was well over 250 pounds live weight. He took plenty of field photos, but I grabbed this shot with the digital so I could share it with you. My friend saw this one near their barn last night with 7 does, called his father-in-law, and told him to come out today and shoot him. The rest is history.
