quick question

i have a turkey in my neck of the woods, whatever is brown on a normal turkey is white on this one and what is normally black is black. my question is this a legal bird to harvest? i hope so cuz she's foiled more hunts than anything i've been around. thanks in advance

i don't know about iowa, but in wi that is a legal bird in the fall. in the spring we have registered a couple white or partially white toms. i know this doesn't answer your question but at least you know color phases are not to uncommon.
