Can I or Can't I ??????

I planted 3yr old red pines last season. Can I spray them this year to kill any competing grasses or will I kill the trees?? Some people say after one year you are fine, but I want to make sure.

I'm no expert but I know poast is used on pine seedlings to control grasses.

You can spray poast or select around them to kill the grasses, and not harm the tree at all.
