Has anybody ever planted Chufa for turkeys? It seems like it would be a pretty good plant for them. I am thinking about putting it around my clover and chicory plot. If anybody has any pics of chufa, post them please.

Chufa is one of the best plants for turkeys and birds, not sure if it is the plant or seed or the bugs it attracts that draws the turkeys but they love it! Also alfalfa, clover, and chicory make great turkey plots, mostly these plants draw bugs which draw turkeys but turkeys will eat the plants as well! Tecomate and Biologic I believe have Chufa Turkey and Bird Mixes!

I have never planted chufas but here's a link to more info on them. After reading this site I think you will find the same problem...you need 2-5 acres of them for it to even have a chance.
