Clover Prices:

I was just checking out clover prices on the Welter seed site. I see some seed is sold per pound,,some per 50 lbs. I have small plots. Altogether probably not an acre. Fifty pounds of one seed is more than I'd need. Wonder why some per lb and some per 50 lbs?

I'm not sure what the pricewas, but your price is always lower when purchased in bulk. 50 1# bags cost more then 1 bag for 50#'s and it takes a lot more time to fill 50 bags then it does 1.

You can order almost anything from Welters by the pound regardless of how it is listed, just call them and tell them you need 4 pounds of this and 3 pounds of that..and they'll ship it right out to you.

No worries if it only shows it in 50# bags (at least for clovers, alfalfa and brassicas... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif )
