Cold Weather Patch Lube

I am looking for a new patch lube for my pillow ticking patches. I have used spit patches and I like them during warmer weather. However I have found that salvia and bore butter lubed patches load fairly hard when the weather is really cold.

I am thinking about trying out a mix of lard and bee’s wax……..has anyone tried the combination before?

Any other good ideas for a cold weather patch lube?

Moose Milk and mix in a bit of washer fluid or alcohol.

Yep. For summer mixes I use water to mix in the oil, but for winter I mix it with windshield washer fluid.
Lard and bee's wax is still going to get hard in cold.
Whale oil is the best though.
