Council Bluffs Urban Deer Hunt

Just for the record, you CANNOT shoot a buck!
The new laws regarding hunting inside city limits override the old laws stating you could shoot a buck if it is zoned Agriculture. At least not until us 24 hunters that passed the efficiency test kill 200 confirmed does.
Apparently a couple freaks think they can, just wanted to clear things up before a huge mistake is made.

Shoot as many does as you can. I run the city hunt in Muscatine. The DNR Biologist will take the number of deer harvested and after the deer count is done in February or so he will probably award a few bonus any sex tags to reward the top hunters. I earned my second bonus tag this year after taking 8 in Muscatine and last year I shot a 156" 8 point with my bonus tag.

We took 72 deer in Muscatine last year and the deer count was 175 in February. We were awarded 6 bonus tags this year.
