Reading Crawdad's post made me rethink what happened 11/14 Sunday afternoon. I was headed for KC and took the scenic route on hwy 2- somewhere I think it was shortly west of Cantril there was a pick-up with 2 guys parked going the wrong way on the shoulder, they took off at a "high rate of speed" when I started to slow down. They were looking at a big buck in the back of someone's truck parked on the south side of the highway. I guess the truck owner was still in the woods or trying to fill a doe tag. They way they took off made me think they were up to something- if I hadn't happened along I wonder if they were ready to slide that buck into ther truck. From a quick look it must have been 140-150 range deer.
