decoy setup

I just bought some dsd decoys; a jake and a feeding hen. Im going to be hunting from a blind with my bow and i was wondering about how far away from the blind i should set the decoys. If possible id like to have a 20 yard shot 30 yards max. I guess my question is do i set my decoys up at 20 yards r moving them in closer? Thanks

I usually set the jake or strutter at 10 yards facing the blind as the toms with nearly always come to "introduce" themselves to the jake/tommy first. The hen I place adjacent to the gobbler, and at about 13-15 yards.

No ruless necessarily other than, IMO, not placing the hen closer than the jake/tommy, and/or placing him looking directly away. I still feel you will get a shot, but placing them at 10-15 yards is key IMO.

I usually only go with a hen and jake OR Tommy. I have alot of friends go with more flocks per se but two deeks, a blind, bow, chair and vest are enough for this old boy.

I am getting soft in my old age :)
