NEWS: Search Still On For Texas Eagle Poacher

Authorities continue to look for leads in an incident that left a bald eagle severely wounded by a shotgun in Texas. Two fishermen found the wounded eagle near the Brazos River last week.
The eagle was handed over to Rebecca McKeever of Lone Star Wildlife Rescue for rehabilitation of a fractured right wing, and removal of several shotgun pellets.
Shooting the national mascot can land a person a federal misdemeanor conviction and up to six months in a federal prison, according to Marty Hernandez, special agent with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Houston.
Mark Sydow and Chip Rhone are to thanked for finding the wounded eagle, after it fell out of its nest. The pair immediately called wildlife authorities.
