Easton insert exoxy problems

So I have the Easton N-fused i cut them and used the sanding cylinder thats included. Next i mixed up the 2 part epoxy very well and glued the inserts in and used the spacer tool. Its been about 24 hours and i tried to screw in a field tip and the glue wasnt dry. Can anyone help?

I don't have experience with HIT inserts. Do you have to use that cheesy looking spacer tool or can you just glue them and shove them down onto a benchtop to get the same results? If so, do that and use superglue instead. Much better adhesion but if you have to screw around with some special installation system for more than about a second, forget it. You'll end up with unseated inserts. Hopefully you used alcohol or acetone to clean the inside of the shaft first, that could cause and adhesion problem.

You definately need to use the tool. It slides the insert down about a half an inch into the shaft. It can't be flush with the end of the shaft.

About the epoxy. Epoxy is made to dry fast. I have no clue why it's not working for you. It should definately be dry within 24 hours. Is the field point coming back out wet, or is the insert just spinning in the shaft? Wish i could help you there.

You may have already tried this but on mine you had to push the field tip into the shaft just a little before it would start threading itself into the insert. maybe it's not going in far enough to reach the threads.
